NEET for Gulf Students — Exam Cities Abroad, Fee and What to Know
Students in the Gulf can write NEET-UG without travelling to India: NTA holds the exam in several Gulf cities. The fee is higher, and families should plan registration, documents and travel carefully.
This guide is based on the official NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin. The 2027 bulletin was not out as of 6 November 2026, so check neet.nta.nic.in for any changes.

The exam
- NEET is a pen-and-paper test of 3 hours with 180 questions; see our NEET 2027 guide for the pattern and eligibility.
- You choose the medium when you apply: English, Hindi (bilingual with English) or a regional language such as Malayalam (with English). It cannot be changed later.
- In 2026 the 3 May exam was cancelled and a re-examination was held on 21 June; follow NTA notices closely in the exam year.
After NEET: admissions for Gulf students
- For Kerala state-quota seats, register with CEE Kerala through the KEAM application; nativity rules decide which quotas you can use. See our NEET courses in Kerala guide.
- NRI and foreign-national candidates have separate criteria in the bulletin, and some admissions need an Embassy certificate; read that section carefully if it applies to you.
Tips for Gulf families
- Apply early and keep passport, school certificates and your Indian address ready for the form.
- Check the city allotted on your admit card and plan travel to the centre the day before if it is in another emirate or city.
- Keep school pre-board and model exam dates in mind so that NEET preparation fits around them.
